Description
Elovera® Sunscreen Lotion SPF 15 is manufactured by Glenmark. Elovera® Sunscreen Lotion SPF 15 is a reliable protection against tan, sunburns and skin damage.
Why are sunscreens essential for daily skin care and protection:
Ultraviolet radiation consists of UVA, UVB and UVC rays. While UVC doesn't reach Earth surface and isn't a concern for skin cancer, UVA and UVB play different roles when it comes to tan, sunburns, and photoaging. UVA rays are not absorbed by the ozone layer, get deep into the skin and dramatically damage skin causing early aging, blotchiness, sagging and roughening. UVB rays are the most dangerous and quick-damaging. UVB radiation can only partially be blocked by clouds or fog, therefore, sunscreen should be worn every day.
Key components:
- Aloe Extract soothes hot, irritated skin. It works beforehand too by blocking about 20% of UVB and UVA rays;
- Oxybenzone is an organic component, a derivative of benzophenone and a potent sunscreen agent. Oxybenzone absorbs UVB and UVA II rays, resulting in a decreased skin penetration of radiation and reducing the risk of DNA damage;
- Octinoxate or Octyl Methoxycinnamate (OMC) is a frequently used UV-filter in sunscreens and other cosmetics. It absorbs UVB, protecting the skin from photodamage. It is also used to reduce the appearance of scars;
- Avobenzone is dibenzoyl methane derivative, an oil-soluble compound. This topical sunscreen blocker has a broad range of UV protection. It blocks UVA I, UVA II, and UVB wavelengths, thereby reducing the impact of UV rays on the skin;
- Vitamin E Acetate applied topically, interacts directly with skin cells, neutralizing free radicals on site, thus keeping skin wrinkle free as well as moisturized. Vitamin E slows down aging and potentially reduces the risk of skin cancer. It can also heal damaged skin and scar tissue.
